The Strategic Hub of Europe and Gateway to the World
Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg – collectively known as the Benelux.

Positioned strategically between major European markets and global trade hubs, the Benelux serves as a gateway to both continental and international markets.

The Benelux region stands as a thriving supply chain and logistics hub at the heart of Europe, leveraging its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and innovative solutions to facilitate global trade.

Europe’s most important ports
Central to this dynamic ecosystem are its most important ports:

  1. Port of Rotterdam (Netherlands): Europe’s largest port, strategically positioned,  serving as a crucial gateway to the continent and beyond. With state-of-the-art facilities and extensive logistics networks, it handles a diverse range of cargo, making it a linchpin in global maritime trade.
  2. Port of Antwerp (Belgium): Europe’s second-largest port, situated along the Schelde river, offering excellent connectivity to the hinterland. Specializing in containerized and bulk cargo, it plays a vital role in facilitating international trade and industrial activities, contributing significantly to the global supply chain.

These ports, along with other key logistical assets in the region form a comprehensive network that drives efficiency, reliability, and innovation in supply chain management.

CSCMP Roundtable Benelux is well placed to connect this strong network of supply chain talents, skills and knowledge of professionals and academics across the Benelux consistent with its mission to Connect, Develop and Educate.
